– The victim said that he was inside his house when the perpetrator broke in. They came across each other in the living room and he was shot in the leg there. The perpetrator then left in a car, says Internal Officer with the police John Sjöblom to P4 Radio Kristianstad.

Neighbours woke up during the night to a brawl in the middle of the quiet residential neighbourhood where there is both a nursery and a school. The shooting is shocking.

– There was screaming and it sounded like people were angry. After a while, a shot was heard by the house, or from inside the house, and the sound of shattering glass, says a neighbour.

Neighbours saw a small black car outside the house and at least two men. They have seen a lot of activity in and out of the house where the shot was fired. Short visits and lots of different vehicles. The couple that is registered at the address has lived there for about a year.

The police have carried out a forensic investigation. On Tuesday the police held interviews and knocked on doors in the area.

No suspects have been arrested. The police are in great need of tips and witness statements from the area around Söderparkskolan in Vinslöv between 11 pm and midnight on Monday evening.

The police would also like to have tips on what may have led to the incident.

Whoever has any information can call the police on telephone number 114 14.
