Man attacked by large gang - came to the A&E with puncture wounds

The police’s control centre received information about a brawl on Ingelstadsgatan after 6 pm.

– We received calls that a large number of youths had gathered, that there was some kind of trouble at the scene. A car had been vandalised, says Rickard Lundqvist, Press Spokesman for the police.

There were about 20 young people. They threw objects at a car that was stationary.

When the police arrived, the youths were gone.

– A while later, an injured man came to the A&E in Kristianstad with puncture wounds. My interpretation is that the injured man drove to Gamlegården. When he got there he was attacked.

The youths were armed with "different weapons", according to the police.

The man was driven to the A&E at CSK.

At 8.15 pm there were still several police officers on Ingelstadsgatan.

– A larger area has been cordoned off and forensic technicians are on their way. We have used a sniffer dog, but nothing was found. At present nobody has been arrested, says Rickard Lundqvist on Tuesday night.

A report of aggravated assault has been filed.
