The police in Kristianstad have had reinforcements from the police in Stockholm during the weekend of 27th–29th March. The effort is part of Operation Rimfrost and will continue for a while. Part of the effort is to disrupt the criminal activity. And there have been shootings, explosions and two murders in Kristianstad since August last year.

– We had an unacceptable level of crime last autumn. Kristianstad will not be a playground for criminal actors. It is extremely important that we work on this, says Anders Olofsson, Head of Local police in Kristianstad.

During the weekend several police officers worked on the operation. Most police officers were in Gamlegården. People and cars were stopped. The police also searched people.

Several people who were considered to breach the peace were taken to the police station.

This weekend's work with Operation Rimfrost was focused on maintaining order.

– I am fully satisfied, the operation was well executed. We must put pressure on vulnerable areas. We want to ensure order in society and we delivered that, says the Head of Local Police.
