KIK through to Allsvenskan after thrilling match in Uppsala

Kristianstad's Ice Hockey Club, KIK, has reached the Hockey Allsvenskan - for the first time in the club's history.

KIK played against Almtuna in an away match on Sunday. The match decided which team would go through to the highest series in the Hockey Allsvenskan.

And it was a very thrilling match that went to extra time. William Pethrus scored the finishing goal when there was less than a minute left.

The match ended 1-2 in Gränbyhallen in Uppsala.

KIK has been a hockey club since 1966.
