To reduce the risk of spreading infection, Region Skåne has a new information campaign available in several languages, “En kram på distans” (A hug from a distance). The information is available in English, Somali, Arabic and sign language.
Region Skåne wants to make sure that everybody in Skåne knows what to do to prevent spreading the coronavirus infection. Therefore, there is now a campaign with information about the 1177 Healthcare helpline.
– The aim is to provide information about how we can avoid the infection together, says Anna Strömblad, Communications Director at Region Skåne in a press release.
The campaign #enkrampådistans reminds people about the advice to wash their hands, sneeze and cough into their elbows, stay at home if they’re sick, protect themselves if they’re over the age of 70 and to show consideration.
The campaign will be on social media, on Region Skåne's information screens and all the municipalities in Skåne.
1177.se has links to information in several languages. On skane.se there is information that is easily readable and in sign language, but the region is also reviewing the need for more translations.
The 1177 Healthcare telephone helpline in Region Skåne also provides healthcare advice with an interpreter in Arabic and Somali from 8 am-5 pm on weekdays, just select option three.
On Tuesday, there were 238 cases of people infected with covid-19 in Skåne, seven more than on Monday. A total of 16 covid patients are being treated in hospitals. Three of them are in intensive care.
