Anyone can come to do a health profile at Hälsopunkten. On the first visit, they will carry out different tests on you. Then a second visit will be booked to discuss your health. Appointments for September are already fully booked.

On Thursday, it was both an open house and the opening ceremony of Hälsopunkten. Hälsopunkten has been opened by students in their fourth term so that they can get an internship. Hälsopunkten functions as a health clinic, the staff has a duty of confidentiality.

– We have a conversation with each visitor, what motivation does this person have to change their living habits? How should you as a nurse be able to work to motivate change? Here we associate the theoretical with the practical right after a visit, says Lina Behm, lecturer in nursing at the university.

There are examination rooms at the premise. Visitors can, among other things, do a fitness test; have their muscle mass and bone mass measured. Further tests carried out during the health test include measuring muscle mass and bone mass.

– You don’t have to come here and be perfect. I had a check-up before the summer and now I have changed my habits and the results of the tests were much better. Change can happen fast, says Lina Behm.
