Handball: IFK Kristianstad lost – again

Goalkeeper Richard Kappelin put on a great performance again in IFK. But it wasn’t enough. IFK Skövde won with 23-18. This was IFK's third loss in the last four matches of the Handball league.

It really wasn't a fun night for IFK Kristianstad. And it ended with a long talk in the changing room.

– We talked about how to get the game organised and what it is that isn’t working. We went through how to overcome weaknesses in the matches, says Richard Kappelin.

It was a close match between the two teams.

– We really have a wide skill set in the team, but the players who come in lack confidence and as a result there’s failed passes and missed opportunities, says Coach Ljubomir Vranjes.

The best player in the home team was Richard Kappelin.

– The problem is the attack game. I don't know if it’s happened before that IFK has only scored 18 goals at home, that’s my hunch at least, says Kappelin.

– Skövde was almost afraid to win the match, but we were more afraid, he says.

The next match is on Saturday in Kristianstad Arena, against Chekhovskie Medvedi in the Champions League.
