Four youths suspected of the big fire have been released – wants to detain one of them again

It was two weeks ago that the youths, aged 16-21, were detained suspected of arson on probable cause. On Friday, all four were released.

Three of them will be questioned further.

– They are under adequate surveillance. We have come so far in the investigation that they do not need to be detained. They are so young. Therefore, I must carefully consider whether they should be deprived of liberty, says Chamber Prosecutor Marie-Louise Holmberg.

But she immediately wants to detain the girl (a minor) who was released on Friday. Therefore, she has appealed the District Court's decision to the Court of Appeal. Holmberg believes that the girl is still suspected of arson on probable cause.

"The District Court has drawn an incorrect conclusion of the circumstances presented at the detention negotiations on the 18th of October”, writes Marie-Louise Holmgren in her appeal.
