Electric cars roll into Östra Göinge
Östra Göinge has 30 new electric cars. They will be driven by home care services, among others.

– We have had two electric cars before. So this is a big step for us, says Håkan Martinsson, Supervisor for storage and workshop.
The fact is that it’s possible to drive between 35 and 40 miles on one charge. Electric cars can be charged in many places; in Knislinge, Broby, Lunnom and soon in Glimåkra and Sibbhult.
Electric cars are good for the environment. Operating costs, vehicle taxes, service and maintenance are cheaper than for ordinary cars. You can hardly hear it when the engine is switched on and the car starts to move.
Östra Göinge, the green heart of Skåne, has now taken a step closer to its goal. By 2025, all municipal cars will be free of fossil fuel.
