Previous complaints about poor hygiene and dental care led to IVO, the Inspectorate for Health and Care Services (Inspektionen för Vård och Omsorg), carrying out a check on a private dental clinic in Kristianstad in early June.

IVO has decided to immediately ban the company Jan Sterwin AB from working on the premises because it poses a danger to health and safety as a result of poor hygiene and a lack of basic knowledge. Premises and technical equipment were worn out, with dirt in different places.

- It’s an old house and we have been here for 40 years, of course, it will be worn out. We are currently busy renovating and painting. We should be on holiday really, but we’re prioritising this. IVO's decisions can be appealed, but we’re taking action instead and then it will be okay, says Jan Sterwin, who runs the clinic.

Jan Sterwin believes that IVO's decision is wrong because the clinic believes they are running everything really carefully.
