Decision: There will be a town festival in Kristianstad

– Great news, says Charlotte Svärd, Operations Manager at Handelsstaden (the Centre of Commerce).

The town festival will be in the heart of the town, with a big stage at Stora torg, funfairs, a market street and more. All concerts will be free.

Many people miss Kristianstadsdagarna (Kristianstad days), a town festival which used to take place a few years ago and which lasted 10 days.

Many have missed the festival, both visitors and local residents and the business community.

– So it feels great to have a town festival again. It is an important piece of the puzzle to keep the town alive; it’s a part of it. We want to give something back to the town, she says.

The idea is to involve as many as possible.

– It will be a festival for everyone, small and big, says Charlotte Svärd.

The idea is that the town festival will become a tradition.
