Corona: 31 new cases today – Like a slight cold for young people
The focus is now on protecting those that belong to risk groups such as the elderly and the sick, and to prevent the spread within healthcare.
Over the past three days, 30 to 40 new people with the infection have been found in Skåne. Region Skåne announced on Friday that there are now a total of 131 infected people in Skåne.
Right now, work is underway to trace the infection in the new cases.
WHO has classified the spread of the new coronavirus as a pandemic, that is, the infection has spread throughout the world.
Region Skåne has changed its procedures for sample-taking. The focus is on taking samples from patients admitted to hospitals and suspected cases among staff in the healthcare sector.
People who are otherwise healthy, but who suspect they may be infected, should stay at home and be treated at home.
Young people with the infection have had very mild symptoms, much like a mild cold. If you have a cold, it’s extra important that you stay at home. And it is important to wash your hands with soap and water and often.
