2,100 people have been tested for the infection in Skåne.

Health centres that have had drop-in clinics have closed them down. On Friday, staff stood outside Näsby Health Centre. They were checking whether patients were allowed to come in or not. Or if they need further care.

– Most people understand that we’re doing this to prevent the spread of infection, says Lena Lantz who is a nurse.

Between 50 and 100 patients use the drop-in clinic at Näsby health centre every day when it’s open. Now they have to book appointments.

Staff take turns standing at the entrance.

– If someone suspects that they have covid-19 and are really ill, we can take them in, but via an ambulance in which case. Alternatively, we can call 1177, we have a direct number, says Martina Pettersson, Department Manager.

Many people who come are worried. The staff calm them down and provide advice.

– Many people want to know if they’re carrying the virus. We try to explain that we can't test everyone now. We have to ensure that those who are seriously ill and those who belong to risk groups can receive help.

If you feel a bit snotty, how will you know if it’s covid-19?

– In that case, you should always act as if you are infected. Stay at home, no social contact and do what you can to prevent the spread of infection.
