The so-called Palme Group has investigated the murder all these years. The Palme Group has concluded that Stig Engström probably acted on his own:
– We have not been able to find anything to support a conspiracy, but it cannot be ruled out, says Krister Petersson, who is now closing the preliminary investigation.
No murder weapon was secured in the investigation.
Stig Engström worked in an office near the murder scene on Sveavägen in Stockholm. He died in 2000.
