300 new residences the city centre

The old hospital was situated here once upon a time. Now it will be a new residential area. ABK has a vision of how Östermalm’s Park could become a green oasis in the city centre. T

he zoning plan for the area is out for consultation, that is, the public and everyone who will be affected by the project get to have their say on what and how the housing, park and more should be built. When it’s finished, the Municipal Council will decide on the zoning plan in early 2021.

Liljewall Arkitekter’s proposal won the competition for how ABK's Östermalm’s Park could look like.

Three buildings will be demolished. The earliest this will happen is summer 2021.

– It’s difficult to do anything with the buildings for the old healthcare premises, says Patrik Jogby, Project Manager at ABK.

The new residential housing blocs will be 4-8 floors high. One of the housing blocs will be taller.

– It could be 12-13 floors high, says Patrik Jogby.

There will also be a car park with 200 spaces and about 700 bicycle parking spaces.

The proposal is open for consultation between March 9th and March 31st. During that time, the general public and interested parties can submit their comments.
