2,500 new jobs at a battery factory in Skellefteå
The company Northvolt is opening a new factory to manufacture batteries. More than 2,500 people will be employed in Skellefteå.

Northvolt is building a factory in Skellefteå. The company will manufacture car batteries there for electric cars among other things. The company needs many different skill sets.
– We will have to attract people to Skellefteå. Issues such as housing and integration will be important. We will work with the municipality on this, says Katarina Borstedt, Growth Manager at Northvolt.

The company needs to employ people from many different professions, from operators to process engineers and administrative staff.
The factory also needs staff who don’t have much training, for jobs such as production, canteen staff and cleaning.
The information meeting will be held on Monday the 19th of August from 10 am-1 pm, at the Job Centre in Malmö.
