The 18-year-old has admitted that he stabbed the 40-year-old man. But he says it was self-defence, he thought the 40-year-old would shoot him. The District Court does not believe that this is true.

The District Court claims that the 18-year-old became angry at the 40-year-old for beating his mother. That's why the 18-year-old stabbed him.

The punishment for the crime is four years imprisonment. But because the 18-year-old is so young, he was sentenced to two years imprisonment. He also has to pay 97,000 crowns in damages to the victim, who was seriously injured. The 40-year-old is still receiving medical care.

The aggravated assault happened in the middle of the day on Wednesday the 24th of April this year, between some residential houses in Österäng.
