The jobs in question are for train technicians, fault localisers, team leaders, switchmen, stockroom staff, planners and leaders.

A buying process for maintenance is in progress. Mantena is one of the companies that hope to win the contract. If Mantena is successful they will have to take on 100–150 people in Hässleholm, according to a press release from the company.

Today, Tuesday, Mantena is on the spot at the station to hand out flyers, take particulars of people who are interested and answer questions.

The train depot at Kärråkra outside Hässleholm is being built by Region Skåne at a cost of around 1,5 billion crowns. When the depot is ready, maintenance costs for the Öresund trains will be considerably reduced.

It is planned to move maintenance of the Öresund trains to Kärråkra in December 2020.
