– I have no idea why this happened, but I am completely disturbed, says Johan Lundin, CEO of Point Logistics where the newspaper carrier works.

At night the company's management carries out checks to ensure the distribution of newspapers is flowing as it should. When management couldn’t get hold of the carrier by telephone, on-call staff were sent to the site.

– Then we found his cart and the newspapers, but not our carrier and the key chain, says Johan Lundin.

The management got in touch with the carrier's family.

– Then we realised that something serious had happened, says Johan Lundin.

He believes that the carrier is still in the hospital. The carrier has worked at the company for several years. The man, naked, injured and bloody climbed on top of a roof and - risking his own life – climbed into an apartment through an open window.

There, a 19-year-old woman helped him. She says he was terrified, he said he had been tortured for several hours.

The police had stationed their mobile unit at Stora torg on Tuesday to get tips on the violent crime. “We received a few tips. Each and every observation is very important,” says Göran Svensson. Have you seen anything? Call the police on 114 14.

A man, born in 1994, was arrested for the act on Monday night. The man was previously known to the police.

– There are a few minor misdemeanours in 2015 or 2016. Nothing notable at all, says Thomas Johansson, Press Officer for the police.
