The trade organisation, Sveriges bagare & konditorer (Sweden's Bakers & Confectioners) expects that at least 8.3 million cinnamon buns will be eaten on October 4th. Cinnamon Bun Day is one of our most loved theme days during the year. People bake at home, or they buy cinnamon buns for their workplaces.

– Cinnamon Bun Day is really proof of how strong and deeply rooted Swedish fika culture is. It’s interesting to see that the day just keeps growing, says Martin Lundell, CEO of the trade association Sveriges bagare & konditorer. A cinnamon bun is a stuffed wheat bun. It is served in Swedish coffee places around the world.
