For a number of years politicians have discussed whether new swimming-baths should be built in Hässleholm. At the same time the technical department has reviewed the standard of the present baths.

The total cost of renovation is estimated at around 138 million crowns.

– That’s a lot of money. But the baths are used a lot, and maintenance has lagged behind, says Mats Svensson, head of the technical department.

The figures are approximate, no tests have been carried out to check the quality of the cement in the baths, for example.

To renovate Qpoolen alone would cost around 40 per cent of the total sum.
