Integration: Hässleholm municipality among the worst in Skåne
New statistics in regards to the establishment programme indicate worse results for Hässleholm municipality. The statistics are from 2018 and are taken from kolada (the municipalities and county council database).
The statistics show that 35 per cent of those who complete the establishment programme are in studies or work after 90 days (the establishment period lasts two years).
The average in Sweden is 45 per cent.
The statistics also show that Hässleholm is placed at the bottom of the list in Skåne, with the fourth worst result (which is shared with Bjuv and Tomelilla).
The proportion of women in work or studies was 17 per cent. The proportion of men was 45 per cent in Hässleholm municipality. The fact that so many people are unemployed increases the municipality's costs in terms of benefits.
At the same time, the labour market has strengthened in Hässleholm municipality. In April, unemployment fell below nine per cent for the first time in a long time (8.7 per cent). The figures for May show that open unemployment has fallen slightly, to 8.5 per cent.
There a currently 2080 people unemployed in Hässleholm (open and in programs). One concern is that the state-funded so-called extra job is about to be phased out.
