H&M closing in the centre: "It's unfortunate"

On Wednesday, H&M was open for the last time in its premises at Lilla Torg. Many of the customers think that this is unfortunate for the inner city.

In H&M's window there is a sign with the text "Thank you for all the fantastic years".

Linda Ljungquist has been inside shopping. She didn't know it was the last day the store was open. She just popped into the store.

– It's unfortunate, it feels like H&M is a big part of Kristianstad. I've lived here all my life and it's not the same going to a mall, she says.

36 of the 41 employees in the store have been offered jobs elsewhere within H&M, among other things, the chain has opened a store in C4 Shopping.

At the end of January, H&M will hand over the premises to the property owners. It’s unclear what the premises will be used for in the future.
