A long queue formed in front of the counter. The tables were crowded out in the park. Many of those celebrating the National Day were craving waffles.

Andom Naigi didn’t allow himself to get stressed out. He is used to it from the Allt Möjligt-Verkstaden’s cafeteria.

– It’s the first day here and there’s a lot of people, he says as he plates a golden brown waffle.

The idea is that the unemployed who work at the association will gain experience.

– We have some people who want to work in a shop or a cafeteria. Some are foreign-born and are thinking of starting their own businesses. Here they get the opportunity to try it out in a real situation, says Stefan Anderson, responsible for the Allt Möjligt-Verkstaden.

– It’s also about culture and integration, to meet other people in this fantastic environment.

Excess profits from the café operation will be donated to charity.
