Five nominated to be Göing of the Year - Time to vote
On the 9th of May, it is Göinge evening in Knislinge Folkets Park. There people and associations who have done something good for the district will be celebrated. One of them will be Göing of the Year.
The five candidates are:
Jarl Sjunnesson, he runs an organic farm and Baggagården. He produces his own beef cattle, Angus Aberdeen, grows asparagus and raspberries. He arranges music hikes which have become very popular.
Daniel Björk, he writes chronicles that are both entertaining and touching. He has donated profits from three of his books to the Cancer Foundation. He plays the guitar and sings and is a spreader of joy.
Berit Tillman has been nominated posthumously; she passed away on the 14th of November 2018. She was the initiator of the Chernobyl camp that came to be a great movement in Östra Göinge. In summer, the 25th Chernobyl camp in Broby will be held. She was an amazing role model who was selfless with many good deeds.
Karl-Axel Pettersson is a long time loyalist and idealist. With great commitment and a great personal effort, he takes on a lot of work at the Östra Göinge golf course.
Camilla Leo Malmberg is a great spreader of joy; she is always happy and full of energy. She is very engaged in sports and health and is an incredibly positive person who inspires many local residents to take part in physical activity. She is the manager and co-owner of the Göinge training centre.
All Göinge residents can vote for their favourite candidate on the Östra Göinge municipality's website until the 31st of April.
Last year, Ingela Winther was Göing of the Year.
