The festival began at 2 pm. The boules players throw their balls on the court they’ve set up. Save the children and other associations set up stuff on their tables.

An hour later, several hundred people are sitting in front of the stage before the program starts there.

- My children's choir will sing, says Mariam Hasan, that is, it’s the children from her association Kultur och hantverk (Culture and Crafts) that will sing.

The Eid Festival is a party for the whole family, arranged for the fifth year by Kreativa platser (Creative Places).

Above all, the children should feel the celebration and joy when Ramadan, the month of fasting, is over.

Brownbetty of Sweden is holding a workshop with painting. Wende's Petanque club is hosting boules.

A funfair, an association bazaar and of course a lot of food from different cultures is available.

And many people greet:

- Eid Mubarak. Happy Eid.

The festival is ongoing until 9 pm.
