Borrow ice-skates, helmets and roller-skates - free of charge

Buying skis, sticks, helmets and other sports equipment is an expensive business. Now you can borrow everything free of charge at Fritidsbanken, which is opening on 9th December. If things get broken, all you get is a clap on the shoulder.

Fritidsbanken works just like a library, but for sports- and leisure equipment. Anyone can borrow things.

The aim is to inspire people to play, be active in their leisure time and improve their health.

– We've got in 120 pairs of skates, we have roller-skates, ice-hockey sticks, slalom equipment, cross-country skis in different sizes, lifevests, hockey helmets and a whole lot more, says Anders Gunnarsson, the man in charge of Fritidsbanken.

You can find Fritidsbanken at Storgatan 38 (next door to the AlltMöjligt Verkstaden). It is open Monday, Tuesday and Friday from 10 am till 4 pm, and Thursday from 1 pm till 5:30 pm.
